- A Beauty to Rescue
There are three desires in a woman’s heart:
- To be fought for
- An adventure to share
- To have beauty to unveil
The feminine heart: The heart of every girl asks:
- Do you see me?
- Are you captivated by what you see?
Healing the Wound
Forgiveness is a choice. It is not a feeling but an act of will. Don’t wait to forgive until you feel like forgiving; you’ll never get there. Feelings take time to heal after the choice to forgive is made…We acknowledge that (the wound) hurt, that it mattered, and we choose to extend forgiveness to our father. This is not saying, “It didn’t really matter”; it is not saying, “I probably deserved part of it anyway.” Forgiveness says, “It was wrong, it mattered, and I release you.”
A Battle to Fight
“Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of a readiness to die. “He that will lose his life, the same shall have it,” is not a piece of mysticism for saints and heroes…He can only get away from death by continually stepping within an inch of it…He must seek his life in a spirit of indifference to it; he must desire life like water and yet drink from death like wine.”
Beauty to Rescue
“The masculine journey takes a man away from the woman so that he might return to her. He goes to find his strength; he returns to offer it. He speaks to her heart’s deepest question in a thousand ways. Yes, you are lovely. Yes, there is one who will fight for you.”
An Adventure to Live
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
